Our Premises

In June 2011 the Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney relocated to a heritage building located on the western side of York Street, between Market and Druitt Streets, just opposite the iconic Queen Victoria Building. It is situated in the heart of the Sydney CBD, very close to Town Hall Station.

The building was erected in 1903 and completely refurbished, maintaining its period features, in 1997. Recently the building has undergone further renovations. The Institute occupies the 4th floor of the building.

The Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney has five classrooms to accommodate its Italian language courses, a multi-purpose hall which is used for concerts, conferences, movie screenings and functions organised by the Institute as well as an exhibition space. It also accommodates the offices of the Institute’s staff. The Institute hosts a book and DVD library accessible to the Institute’s members and students.
